THE GOLD STANDARD: PAY PER CLICK

Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising has been the standard bearer in online advertising models. It all started with the Google search engine that began using keywords that people searched in their engine to determine where to place ads through a content-generated ad placement system.

By combining the power of the Google search engine and tracking keywords, advertisers could set up ad campaigns based on very highly targeted niche topics. This insured that when an ad showed up on a site, it was relevant to the audience, who would be more inclined to click on the ad since it would interest that demographic.

ADSENSE VS. ADWORDS

In Google’s program, there are two programs that a person can sign up with to use pay-per-click advertising: AdSense and AdWords. AdSense is the program that publishers of pay-per-click advertising use to generate income by adding Google ads to their online content. AdWords is the program where online merchants can create pay-per-click campaigns using keywords so that publishers can expose them to their markets.

There are ways to make money with either of these models, whether as a publisher or as a merchant. Pay-per-click marketing isn’t just limited to people who publish pay-per-click links and get paid per every click generated.

There is far more to making money with pay-per-click marketing than that. However, the most popular and well-known way to make money with pay-per-click advertising is as a publisher, for several reasons.

PPC PUBLISHERS

The main reason that people like to implement PPC publishing as a strategy to make money online is because it costs them nothing, except time, to do. If you have a large enough audience or know how to attract traffic to links, you can make a good amount of money by simply posting links that other people will click on, and thus, create income for yourself.

It does take some understanding of keywords, and we will go over that a little later on. Suffice it to say, for now; if you want to start using PPC marketing in your lineup of potential money makers, then PPC is the easiest way to go. Ads are generated automatically on your sites based on the content that you post.

Could You Change Your Marketing Approach?

There’s a saying that goes,”If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.” Does that apply to your marketing strategies and campaigns? Are you still doing the same thing expecting new results?

Textbook marketing approaches can go a long way toward building product sales and images. They can be just good enough to get noticed, but they might not produce the results you’re after. If you’re ready to go beyond what you learned in school or even by trial and error, there is an area of study worth paying attention to.

What is that area of study?

The real secret to marketing success lies in understanding human beings. People are complex creatures that are often compelled to believe they are ruled by their minds, logic and reason. To an extent, this is true.

People, however, are also highly motivated by influences that are much less black and white in nature. They will purchase products and take particular actions if they are appealed to on an emotional or want-based level.

Tap into both areas with a marketing campaign and the results can stagger. Use emotion or storytelling in your copy and see what happens to your conversions.

Learning how to successfully market in a manner that falls outside the traditional box is not necessarily easy. There are ways to learn the ropes and gain insight from those who have mastered the art of making a decent product one that people will not pass by.

If you are ready to change your marketing approach and take campaigns beyond expectations, human nature and the forces that influence it should be your focus of study.

Speak to the person behind the “customer” and you’ll learn more about both your market and your customers.

The Accidental NetWork Marketer by Sandi Ferreira

The Accidental NetWork Marketer

I was walking the beach early this morning with my husband when I began thinking about how I happened to get into NetWork Marketing. Back then I just knew I loved the products. How could a very shy, quiet, introverted person like me end up in a “people” business??!! Well, I can tell you this, it wasn’t planned. I found products that I loved, that worked for me and for others, that I was proud of and felt obligated to share with others..and then we started going to local meetings for more information about those products and because we like being around those positive, upbeat people. When we needed more income and a new car, we thought that maybe I could just talk to more people about these products. I did that, became a sales leaders, earned a car and free trip to San Francisco…but I still didn’t tell anyone about the business!!! I did learn to speak at meetings..my love of the products helped me overcome my shyness and nervousness. But it was only after I earned a free trip to Hawaii that I realized what a great business opportunity this was…and that I should be telling others about it….especially after my husband, who is a CPA, said that I was making more money in my little part-time business than many of his tax clients made working full time!

Time to share the business!, which is what I do now. I certainly am not a role model for how to build a network marketing business, but I hope I am an encouragement to others. My business was built accidentally and sometimes reluctantly…but I never quit, and when something didn’t work out, I just shifted gears and went in another direction. I was never one to set goals and always worked the business very sporadically, and always part-time..but looking at what I have been able to achieve, I know that if someone comes in and has a vision, sets goals, makes a plan and works that plan consistently..they can achieve so much more than I have…and that makes me very excited about sharing this opportunity to do well by doing good, to be involved in something meaningful and worthwhile, to help change peoples lives and health for the better. Anyone can do it…and do it so much better and faster than I did!!
