Review Of John Delavera’s Turbo Seminar

by John, under Personal Notes, Product Reviews

So, I just got back from John Delavera’s Turbo Seminar 1. I have to say that I really didn’t know what to expect, since this was my first big ticket seminar. What I learned and was exposed to has changed my life FOREVER!

Hearing from the likes of Mark Joyner, the founder of Simpleology and Construct Zero, two iconic websites and compa nies whose main goal is to help you to improve your business through getting to know and improving yourself. Mark doesn’t claim to believe in the “Law of Attraction”, but the principles that he teaches seem to have at least similar thought processes behind them.

Another of the dynamic speakers and teachers that we had on hand is Glenn Dietzl. Glen generally works only with Fortune 500 company’s CEO’s and elite management teams and his retainer is $100k. He emphasized to us the importance of putting a value on our intellectual property in order to protect our business and our integrity. It was an amazing 90 minutes full of super high energy coaching that was worth the cost of the entire seminar.

Unfortunately the weather and illness kept some of the speakers from appearing. We never got to hear from Willie Crawford who is a joint venture magician and an excellent marketer.

We also never got to hear Ken McArthur. I have to say that Ken was probably the speaker I most anticipated hearing. It’s unfortunate that he was unable to attend. Ken would have spoken to a number of audience members, basically doing a short interview, then he would have put people together that could and should work together based on the similarity or synergy of their stories. Vegas Bound For Turbo Seminar

by John, under Interntet Marketing, John Melanson Recommends:, Personal Notes

Well it’s 8 am and I’m sitting at Logan Airport in Boston waiting to board my flight for Las Vegas to attend John Delavera’s Turbo Seminar.

I’ve been a Turbo member for almost two years, was personally mentored by John and have been a member of one of his product creation teams. The experiences that I’ve had with Mr. Delavera far exceeded any expectations that I had for myself in the Internet Marketing world.

Who else do you know out here in the InterWeb that is as prolific and as generous as JD? Seriously, he’s got hundreds of software and e-book titles with his name on them. He’s got thousands of affiliates willing to assist John in growing his empire at the drop of an e-mail.

When you take a closer look at the memberships that JD offers, it dwarfs any other memberships that I’ve ever seen. 95% commission on dozens and dozens of high quality products….are you kidding me? It doesn’t get any better than this.

…Anyway, back to the subject matter at hand. This is the first annual Turbo Seminar and the first major venture since John Delavera and Mark Joyner decided to partner up and improve both of their already hugely successful businesses.

I’m not sure what to expect other than the value packed, educational and informative content that I’ve come to know, being associated with both of these gurus for a few years.

There are going to be 11 different speakers at this seminar from Ken McArthur to Willie Crawford and many others. I expect to come away from this meeting of the minds with a renewed zeal for my own Internet Marketing efforts and some fresh energy for new projects.

I’m thrilled at the prospect of being able to possibly JV with some of these greats. These meetings can be life changing, and that’s the intent that I have for this one with myself.

I’ll make updates all weekend so that you can hear firsthand what’s been going on and what I’m learning. This should be a FUN ride.

The Dark Side Of CPA Marketing

by John, under Personal Notes, Uncategorized

CPA or cost per acquisition marketing is growing in popularity because of it’s higher payouts and a “set it and forget it” ease. Black hat marketers can ruin an entire market if left to operate unchecked.

Although CPA networks (those who provide the offers for you) do a fair job of policing their members there are unscrupulous “black hat” marketers that are gaining your information through misleading methods and profiting from their misdeeds.

As an example, more and more people in this tough economy are out of and looking for work. There are thousands more people using sites like **Gregslist** (the names have been changed to protect the innocent) to search for a job to make ends meet.

While you think you’re applying to, let’s say, an office manager’s position; once you send off your resume the harassing phone calls begin almost immediately. It seems that the telemarketing companies may be involved in the grand scheme of things as well, just try to speak to a superior or manager once you’re on the phone. GOOD LUCK!

You’ll get marketed by insurance companies, refinance companies, debt consolidation companies, etc. Basically, all of the highest paying CPA offers that are out there being horribly exploited by bottom feeding profit mongers.

The lesson I’m trying to convey here is to beware. The dark marketers are out there and anyone is susceptible to their traps. (Present company included)

Use Emotions To Make More Effective Sales

by John, under Attraction Marketing, Personal Notes, Social Networking

Many marketers, myself included, can become detached from our audience at times. Our need for sales gets overwhelming and we can end up putting out some sub-par products on our shelves.

We never think about who we’re really selling for, is it for ourselves or are we in business to help make someone’s life better by knowing us or using our service or product.

Purchase a particular brand of cereal and your children will think you’re the
best parent ever. Use a specific shaving product and you’ll exude sex appeal. Shop at a certain store and you’ll enjoy the lifestyle of your dreams.

Logic dictates that these things simply are not true, but marketing campaigns that work are built around these concepts. People buy into them and prove it with their expenditures of choice all the time.

Why is it that these marketing campaigns work even for average products
when more reasonable, straightforward and traditional methods might fall
short?

The simple fact of the matter is that marketing campaigns that appeal to
people on an emotional, or subconscious level can have a huge impact.

When they are successful, logic may tell consumers one thing, but their
emotions will drive them forward to act any way.

People are simply wired to respond to certain cues. When the triggers for
these cues are tripped through marketing campaigns or other efforts, people will act.

The secrets of marketing successfully in this manner are not necessarily easy to learn. If they were, every product out there would be a top seller. When the right lessons are studied, however, marketing campaigns can bowl over the competition thanks to the power of emotional appeals.

Before you can begin to truly know your customers, you need to know
yourself. What is your “WHY?” Are you in it for the money or to make a
difference in people’s lives?

Could You Change Your Marketing Approach?

by John, under Attraction Marketing, Interntet Marketing, Personal Notes, Social Networking, network marketing

There’s a saying that goes,”If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got.” Does that apply to your marketing strategies and campaigns? Are you still doing the same thing expecting new results?

Textbook marketing approaches can go a long way toward building product sales and images. They can be just good enough to get noticed, but they might not produce the results you’re after. If you’re ready to go beyond what you learned in school or even by trial and error, there is an area of study worth paying attention to.

What is that area of study?

The real secret to marketing success lies in understanding human beings. People are complex creatures that are often compelled to believe they are ruled by their minds, logic and reason. To an extent, this is true.

People, however, are also highly motivated by influences that are much less black and white in nature. They will purchase products and take particular actions if they are appealed to on an emotional or want-based level.

Tap into both areas with a marketing campaign and the results can stagger. Use emotion or storytelling in your copy and see what happens to your conversions.

Learning how to successfully market in a manner that falls outside the traditional box is not necessarily easy. There are ways to learn the ropes and gain insight from those who have mastered the art of making a decent product one that people will not pass by.

If you are ready to change your marketing approach and take campaigns beyond expectations, human nature and the forces that influence it should be your focus of study.

Speak to the person behind the “customer” and you’ll learn more about both your market and your customers.
